Heads-up on Rev-Astro 15x70 Bins-£49.99!

Hi all,

I've just spent the last few days researching and hunting down the best priced Celestron Skymaster 15x70 Binoculars, with the help of the wonderful people on the SGL forums. Anyway, after finding the best priced from a reputable retailer (£60, Wex photographic) someone gave me heads up on these Revelation Astro ones on special offer for £49.99 which appeared to be essentially exactly the same binoculars.

After speaking with the super helpful and knowledgeable chap at  http://binocularsky.com/ he confirmed they were essentially the same but the Rev Astro ones were slightly better quality as ''there are bits about the Skymaster internals that make them more difficult to adjust, if necessary (e.g. the right eyepiece dioptre setting). Also, the Skymasters are over-represented in "How can I fix this problem?" - type threads on astronomy forums. The Skymasters vary like mad, but some of them give a slightly yellow cast, that I don't like, to the image''

So yes, If your after some 15x70 bins, these seem to be the best buy at the moment on special offer!
