Blue bird skies

Recommended Posts

The sky was clear with not a cloud in sight. I was out just at sunset with binoculars and started to watch the beginning of the planets showing their faces. Venus near the sunset showed up first and then some of the primary stars. A bit longer and I was able to see Saturn about 9:15 pm. Ontario time. Because I am still itching, waiting for my telescope to show up, I pulled out my very old Bushnell sentry II spotting scope 50mm x 20X power and could see the ring clear. I couldn’t quite see the detail with my binocs. I wish I had the new Mak 180 already. The mozzies got bad so I packed it in a bit later.

Cheers,

Thomas
