Digital setting circles for an EQ2 or similar GEM

Hi everyone -

I have been modifying an EQ2 to make a grab and go imaging platform that could go on holiday, as a sort of super-barn-door mount.

One of the mods is a digital setting circle project for the EQ2 which is

described here:

The digital setting circles use home made encoders, so they cost just a few quid

to make, but obtain 1.2 arcminute resolution.

The project is based around standalone ATM328 CPUs, the same microprocessor as

in the arduino Uno board. Circuit diagrams and the C code can be downloaded

from the site.

Hopefully others could also find the project useful.
