Tips for CCD imaging

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't say I am a beginner at this, but maybe just over a year since I first started astrophotography. I took this image of Jupiter last night because I knew the GRS was visible. I'm wondering what I could do to improve the detail.

The seeing was a bit wobbly, but about 3/4 of the 1500 frames were good. Its probably my best image to date.

I used a Celestron Neximage CCD on a Nexstar 6" SCT with a 2x barlow lens. 1500fr / 25fpr. Processed in Registax 5.

Any useful hints welcome.
