NexStar 4se and Nikon D3100

I have recently purchased the NexStar 4se and found it has a shutter release cable. What cable do I need in addition to this one to connect to the Nikon d3100 to the telescope? Is it the a/v out plug on the Nikon or the gps/accessory plug to which I connect the telescopes shutter release cable?
