New EQ6 help needed

Well new to me, old, black, slightly battered and the no guide port version to be exact...

Just got this today, my god it's heavy!

It took me about 20 mins to find the bar to attach the weights too, after much cursing i gave up looking and turned the mount around so that i could attach my scope, and out it slid. Oh the wonder of gravity

Also powered it up and tried the hand controller, could hear it clicking when pressing the buttons but no movement, so i figure that the next step should be to ask for help/advise before i break it!

Any advise and or links (idiot guides preferably) on how to use and set up this mount would be most gratefully received

It tracks only !! not a go-to so the movement may be imperceptibly slow. Stick your scope and EP on it, undo the clutches, point at what you want to look at then tighten clutches, turn it on- if there's no movement seen in the ep then there's a problem

Great link Montaggio would have saved me 20mins looking for the counterweight bar
