Just to let you know I went out about 8pm with the sky clear. Also with pretty low humidity and got a great view of Venus. Just greater than a first quarter phase. Very bright and I was excited. Then I got a brief glimpse of Mars and Saturn but it became frustrating battling the influx of clouds. I stayed out a good two hours but the clouds would never blow away. It was never complete coverage but they were spread out and the planets would go in and out from under the clouds. Viewing with a five inch reflector. Hopefully I can get a good night later this week with no clouds.
