chipped primary mirror

I took apart my SE8 to clean it..yes i am a bad person, I left the eyepiece open and need to clean out drywall dust. I dropped the small secondary mirror into the OT..dont ask I had a moment..needless to say i put a very small chip/scratch in the primary:eek:. I cant see it through the eyepiece but its snowing so I cant set up outside and there isnt anything to focus on. If its a big obstruction I want to replace it but cant seem to find a site to buy a new one from. Anyone know?

Don't worry about it: you won't notice the chip at all. Just paint over it with a black marker to avoid any scattered light reducing contrast. I've done the same thing you did and never noticed the difference.
