Artist seeks help

Hello all

I am a photographic artist who is seeking early and high resolution images and/or files of image of some of the very first astrophotography.

For example; the daguerrotype of the sun by Louis Fizeau (1845), first image of the Nebula in Orion by Henry Draper (1880), first photographed solar eclipse (1842) and any other 'firsts', especially of stars. In addition, some very early Spectroscopy image would be good too, Joseph Fraunhofer's spectrum of the sun.

This is all for a an upcoming project that makes reference to our (mankind's)intricate and amazing connection to stars

Any help you can give in sourcing these images would be appreciated as it is proving hard

My girlfriend used to work at the Royal Edinburgh Observatory and her job was to catalogue the photos taken over a period of a hundred years or so. They are in the form of exposed glass plates. The entire collection is thought to weigh some twelve tons! Might be worth giving them a ring.
