Wanting to buy scope for present for beginner, bein told skywatcher 130heritage flex tube or skywatcher 130 explorer ...can anyone please advise me on the best one to buy as they both same price and after reading up on them both I more confused than ever...please anyone help?

They are both more or less the same scope, it is the mount that is different, one has a tripod, the other is a dobsonian mount. For a beginner I would suggest the heritage, as there is no tripod to set up, simply take the scope out, pop the eyepiece in and you're good to go.
