As part of my 'getting back into Astronomy' drive is going i'm trying to remember all the nasty stuff I didn't like about observing and make it a much more comfortable experiance.

taking the scope out to darksites (usually not very well shelterd from wind or possibly ciy light on one horizon) caused numerous problems.

Has anyone used these to help or are they a bad idea?:
