Thanks again everyone. I'll be using the 10 and 25 and then see where I get to.

I'm completely new to this and have been looking at the magnification / clarity / field of view issues, along with eyepiece / focal length stuff. I've a lot to learn.

My scope is kept in an outbuilding so it's never far off the ambient temperature, but protected from frosts etc so 'start-up' time should never be too long.

Snowing in Gateshead earlier - some hope of clear skies tonight!
