A 1.4x screw in barlow lens question...

This is the Owl dual purpose barlow. Unscrew the bottom lens and then screw it into the bottom threads of your eyepiece. Will the barlow perform like a shorty barlow? I plan on using it in my 9mm Nagler TeleVue And 82 degree Explore Scientific 11mm. On my Orion 10" f4.7 scope. I have been using a long barlow with very good results with other eyepieces. Would there be any drawbacks? Pat
