Recommended Posts

LDAS STAR PARTY 22 OCTOBER

From 1100-1600 LDAS will be at Leys Square, Letchworth. The society stand will be set up and weather permitting solar observing will be taking place. There will also be a number of telescopes set up for display purposes and members will be happy to talk about all aspects of astronomy and to answer questions.

The Public Star Party will be held at the LDAS observatory based at Standalone Farm. As well as observing the moon and Jupiter the star party coincides with the Orionids meteor shower. Visitors can use the society scope, a Meade LX200 14-inch model, plus members' scopes. There will also be an indoor area used for talks, displays, refreshments and sales.

The star party will start from 1930 'til late and admission is free.
