NGC 6905 - Blue Flash Planetary Nebula

...is not visually blue to my eyes at least! I have seen several other planetaries with colour from blue through to green. NGC 6905 however was plain grey.

Still it is very pretty to look at in a big scope revealing plenty of intricate detail

Bright area seemed to extend from E/NE area of the disc up towards the NE side and with an extension into the central part of the disc. Western side was much less well defined. A brighter patch was seen near the SW limb. Just south of centre (top of centre in sketch) there was a roughly rectangular darker area within the nebula. Reminded me a bit of the docking hatch on the space stations in that 80's computer game 'Elite'!! This one wasn't rotating too fast though! :)
