Don't cut anything..... you just need to move your secondary mirror... but the primary mirror is set to the length it was made for. It will be out of focus if you get anything wrong and the seconday screw holes need to me 0.0000001 correct just like anything astronomy. it's not worth it, get a low profile focuser. It will work just fine, i'm not sure about filter wheels alltho I have seen pictured of people using live view cameras not DSLRS.

Starlight instruments or moonlite low profile will work. but news get flex ... thin you do get a focuser clamp for both sides which helps, but you will never get a perfect balance unless you use liveview, and even then you will need to plan your viewing sessions for best angles to what your gear is setup. MISSIONS. stay refractor and look for a second hand EQ5 your mount is equiv to a celestron AVX not much good past 200-300mm focal length... With what you have here from a year ago try to stay native focal length, less errors and stay bloating due to magnification.

thanks all for the advice.... someone wrote maybe try a cheaper double... I plan on getting a double for some star clusters... there's a few which I would like to bloat and maybe add some diffraction spikes... so I might get myself a 80 doublet aswell second hand to add to the tool list. I'm 20 years old... all i'm thinking is if I get all the big expensive stuff out the way when i m younger I wont be able to afford anything when im settled down.

youtube.com has plenty.. type in    ( astronomy planet astrophotography ) into the search loads of good stuff....... or just try astrophotography it keeps me busy watching through thousands of videos daily when its clouding out.

I'm going to start out imaging soon after contemplating so many variations of equipment can anyone tell me if an EQ5 would support a triplet 80mm and 100mm with room to grow into a 10 sct.

My equipment idea

EQ5 

First rig dual 80mm and 100mm mounted side by side.

DSLR

Condsenation controller x2

Condensation bands x4

Upgraded focusers

Electronic filter wheel x1 maybe manual on the other 

Guide scope + heat bands 

Eletronic focusers x2

Or am I better to pay an extra 1000 and get a EQ6

any information would be great thanks especially anyone running the same sorta rig? 

Anyone else dreaming of a 500 - 700mm 10inch SCT? just for the extra light or camera's with wider light gathering, any rumours going around on development from celestron or meade? And would there be any issues with such a device other than the corrections would be quite extreme, but surely it's possible. anyone else got ideas or some future tech? How about a dome make of O111 glass that you can sit in to get rid of light pollution, be a nightmare to keep clean and scratch free :))
