  1. U could use an eq3 depends if your using high magnification...any mount gets bad anything past X1 stick in near a fence away from wind and a cheap eq3 pro would do with an 8 but u would need a low profile focused to get focus and hold the gizmos in place a bit more secure.... hubbles a reflector
  2. Are imaging or visuals? Newtonian hands don't for visuals and personally imaging.. no false colours and cheap coma corrector.. slightly smaller mirror size that's what u would see with an 80mm JUST but you will get so much more light.. for visuals on nebula you want as much as possible... u could most prob get a 10 or 12 and corrector.... refractors u will need field flatterer.
  3. Thinking of getting a newtonian 12 or 14 on a celestron cgx with 4 tube rings on long support bars to keep movement to a minimum with a moonlite low profile focused and an 80 triplet on top a 50mm guide scope anyone had any experience with the same setup or close? Any ideas or recommendations for accessories. My garden is quite well blocked from heavy winds so most of the time it's mild to none. Also think of getting a short 500mm or 6 steel tripod to get it as close to the ground as posssible. thanks adey
