Just to let everyone know, i have just bit the bullet and ordered one from FLO. Askar 7nm OIII Narrowband Filter | First Light Optics. When i receive it and the weather plays ball, i will do a review on this filter. Just a question to all, can you recommend a good Narrowband target for this time of year, that is good in OIII wavelength ? and maybe a target with a Bright star in the frame to test for Halo's/Reflections. I will be using it in conjunction with my SX694 m pro and ED80 scope
John
Hi John, how are you finding the Askar filter ?
cheers

Did you recalibrate after moving the guidescope?
No, actually I didnt, & I also rotated the guide camera, didn't realise this made a difference.

Does anyone have any idea why all of a sudden PHd2 has decided it doesn't want to guide my Eq6-r? It worked fine last week, the only changes I made were putting the guide scope up top to help balance, adding a focuser & I rolled APT to its newest edition. PA I assume was spot on as I use sharpcap & unguided it would take 1 min subs @ 670mm with no trailing (she's heavy @ around 13kg) with phd2 it would trail !
Watching the target in phd2 it seems to drift off one way, usually diagonally. Thanks

Are there many users of the 140ph on here ? I've had one for about two weeks now & managed to get half hours worth of imaging
Just wondered if there were any quirks to look for ? I usually put my scopes out at least an hour before imaging, does the focus react to temp changes a lot ?
For the half hours worth of imaging I got, I have to say it showed a lot of promise with my Altair 26c & the matched reducer.
