Can anyone recommend a repair shop for an old pair (version 1) of Canon IS 10x30 binoculars? I have new batteries installed in the binoculars. They were working great just a few days ago. The IS light bulb comes on when I push down the image stabilization button, but the image does not stabilize.
Most Canon repair shops will not deal with fixing the older model IS binoculars but I remember coming across an earlier thread that mentioned a good UK company that does these repairs. Can anyone remember who they are or suggest another company that you might know about?
Thanks for any help that you can provide!
Mike

They are still in business, and very busy, I spoke to them a few weeks ago and had jobs in Europe booked in...I just wanted a small 5x5 obsy, and there quote was £2.7k....😮, so I built one from a new 5x5 shed I found for £450 all incl.....👍🏼
Which pre-made shed do you customize into an observatory for £450 and where did you buy it? I am looking at doing the same.
Thanks,
Mike

Update: After reading various astronomy and bird watching forums that said elsewise, Canon UK says that they can still repair this oldest model (version 1) of their Canon 10x30 IS binoculars. You can contact them directly at tel: 020 7660 0186.
