M31, taken at a very nice observing site in the Negev desert a bit nort-west of Mitzpe Ramon.
This is a pic from last Friday, my first attempt at prime focus photography, taken with a canon 300D through a SkyWatcher 150P Newtonian on a HEQ5-Pro mount.
The polar alignment wasn't spot on so the tracking isn't quite good and startrails are easily visible, but all in all I'm pleased with this as a first shot.
The image was stacked from 10 light frames and 2 darks. 30sec exposure each with iso 1600.
