I need to make an EAGLE to mini din power cable - I’ve never done it before is it hard?
-
Red anodised quantum telescope would cost $2000000000 compared to black $200

Not to mention the issue of space junk obliterating any stuctures

How do you find the collimation on the epsilon? Does it hold well?
Awesome pic!

I’ve heard tales of people going slightly over the max capacity of the CEM60 and seeing no adverse effects.
Can anyone confirm? -
Great shot!

I would replace your usb cable for the future. Can’t be too safe!

Hey all,
I’m seriously considering buying one of these, anyone have any experience with it?
Thanks!

Yeah I’ve been warded away from the sharpstar.
It sounds petty, but I just can’t stand the yellow of the epsilon!

New discovery challenge would be cool

With a well balanced backpack anything is possible!
Seriously though, you can get some really lightweight newts if you’re craving longer fl. And those new wormdrive mounts look good

I was going to suggest a RASA11 or even an 8 for wider FOV. Nothing will really come close to the speed. If you want a better resolution (and longer FL) maybe an RC or large Newtonian. As your budget is reasonable you could get a decent truss tube RC. Refractors I find easier and more likely to be used, as yours will be permanent or near enough size doesn't really matter so much. Askar have disturbed the typical scope prices from other vendors (maybe at the cost of prime quality), their latest triplet range has 103/120/140/185/203mm at least (Their FRA range is the best, then PHQ, then maybe the triplet apo), try to find a similar price per size from another vendor.
If looking at a RASA, personally I'd rather go Edge HD for its flexibility, visual and AP use native, planetary imaging native, decent FL reduced and F2.2 or so with a Hyperstar lens which isn't really difficult to use. For imaging only the RASA would be better but it's a fixed FL.
Thanks for the recommendations! My first thought was also RASA but I don’t know if I could live without a filterwheel haha
Right now I’m considering a premium newt (impossible to find) or a used deltarho or CCA-250

I’m thinking of getting one but my door outside is quite raised. Anyone have any suggestions for ramps?
I suppose wheelchair ramps would make the most sense

Hey all,
I’m seriously considering buying this scope second hand.
Does anyone here have any experience with it? Any notable pros or cons?

I can’t go this year but have been in the past. Can confirm its a top class event, great helpful people

Preciseparts is such a great service its a shame there isn’t really an equivalent afaik.
If you can use CAD you could always design your own can get it machined locally
-
You could try Bobs Knobs

Thanks for an honest review - I think these collimator gizmos are most susceptible to cheap manufacturing

I saw the redcat at an astro-show a few months ago. It is deceivingly heavy but if its in a backpack it will probably be fine.

If you can make it to the south downs I can confirm the view is amazing

Hey, as others have said Ebay is not a great place for used astro gear - depending on where you are in the world there is astrobuysell.com, astromart and the cloudynights classifieds.
