Frustrated I tried my luck to NWN /North for Ursa Major and again found the azimuth align was out , so about 22.30hrs I put the Ascent to bed .

Daylight and I have gone into the settings to make adjsutments to the Lat /long coordinates also will try some of the other features to see if they help at all, so have enabled the camera setup assist & adv cam controls to see if they help.  

I will have to try a realign later with the pylon and then wait for dark again to try out.

Not sure what might  be the issue  so will have to try and see if I can  sort it out.

 

 

 

The problem described seems more likely to be related to alignment and calibration issues with the Skysense unit, as indicated by the frequent difficulty in finding the correct position and azimuth. Cleaning the equipment may have helped in this specific case, but it might not have been the root cause of the initial alignment problems.
