Good Morning! Its my first post so I will introduce myself My name is Bart and I would love to welcome everyone 🙂 I have decided to upgrade my equipment with guide camera and I have chosen ZWO ASI 120MM Mini to be attached to my Sky-Watcher finder scope 9x50 by finder to c adapter. When I started writing this post my general idea was to ask for a advice but… I find out that … I have a brain! Ha! Shocker- I know right?! I have decided to publish “my thing” anyway hoping that it will help someone and save great night of gazing.
BEFORE YOU START PLAYING WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CLEANING GEAR READY!
First of all I would like to remind that ZWO ASI 120MM MINI (I have mono version but I think that colour won’t be different) have 3 “pieces” in the black extension adapter (photo 1)1st piece- is camera lens cover
2nd piece- adapter (I think)
3rd piece- extension
If you are struggling to undo any of this pieces I have used players with thick cloth to prevent any damage to the adapter (photo 2)
Once you undo all pieces of the adapters I left 1st and 2nd ring piece (photo 3)
Then I have screwed them in to the c adaptor which I have attached before in my guide scope (photo 4)
To get your focus correct… You have to undo your… FRONT lens of the guide scope (photo 5)
Please remember to tight it using other ring (photo 6)
As the “last” task I have untwisted c adaptor where camera is attached (photo 7) to get best focus.
When you finish all adjustments please make sure that you clean your optics Trust me- you might get “dirty” hands.
Clear night sky!
P.S. Please accept my apologies for my language mistakes

Sky-Watcher EQ6-R PRO and N.I.N.A
in Discussions - Mounts
Posted
Good evening star gazers 🙂
I am extremely happy user of the Sky-Watcher EQ6-R PRO. Today was the first time when I was able to use it for the first time. I have performed north star alignment. As I have use to do in my EQ5 mount, I have placed “top” leg of my tripod to the “north”. Following that I have decided to run EQASCOM software. I have entered my coordinates with elevation as per my iPhone Compass app. I have checked that my telescope mount is responding to the requested movement via NSWE buttons and mount made movements as requested. Unfortunately when I have run N.I.N.A, searched for Jupiter and asked software to align scope towards the planet my mount aligned scope in the completely opposite direction. I have ticked “RA” and “DEC” Reverse in the ASCOM but it doesn’t help. Could you please advise what I am doing wrong? Any advice are more than welcome.
