Well, I didn't see the fiery ball in the sky last night, but I got too distracted by what I WAS seeing to look very well. Lol!

My son saw blue and red colours in it but I didn't see that. It was bigger than regular stars. It was about 10:45 Pacific time.no tail that I could see - just a ball of blazing fire. If I think straight up is a 90 degree angle then it was about 30 to 40 degrees.

It seemed to be moving very slowly.

I live on Vancouver Island, Canada. Last night I saw a fiery ball in the western sky, not like normal stars. Would this be a comet?

Well The Chine debris fell in the Indian Ocean , seen in Malaysia, so it wasn't that. I don't really think it was a Chinese lantern. Probably some other kind of space debris. thanks all!
