  1. I am going to start assembling my fork mount this weekend. I got sidetracked this past weekend making a retro gaming console for the family. 12,114 video games from the first video game pong was made to 2010 games. Designed in SolidWorks, cut on my cnc router did a test fit. Then disassembled painted wtih a retro 90 splat paint job. Family loves it, wife plays it as much as the kids. They have forgone the Wii and Playstation.

    Cheers

  2. Ok, so I have an eq mount that does goto and tracks

I am looking for a way to get into taking pictures that is cheap, yes cheap but will get me experience in the things I need to know before I run out and spend alot of money to take really good pictures.

I have some begal bones black, raspberry Pi 3B+, some arduino mega's. Oh and a 12mm adapter for my eye peice.

So I was thinking of setting up a arduino cam, like some have used. I have seen some pretty nice pics that have come from these but I do not know which ones to buy.

I am wanting to do planets at first, then move on to deep space objects later. Advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the help

  3. HI, I am David. I am a machinist and welder. Retired Army, retired professional skydiver/tandem instructor.
I have built many cnc mills, lathes, routers and a plasma cutter.

I am looking for help in making my telescope mount more automated and for it to goto and track objects.

I know there are alot of planetarium software programs out there that will work with such computer controlled telescopes.

I am looking for something that will run in windows 10, can be controlled with the planetarium software for the goto function and that track the objects chosen.

Also can use standard nema 23 or 34 servos, and stepper drivers and hopefully standard control boards that use a ethernet port or parallel port on a pc.

    Thanks for your help

Is there a software that runs on a PC that I can use to control my horseshoe eq mount, along with some aux controls such as focuser, etc?

Something that outputs the control thru the parallel port or maybe thru a ethernet connections to control stepper drivers or such?

    Thanks
