  1. I bought a Packard Bell Easynote TS last year and it's amazing, definately the best computer I've ever had. 15.4", Core i-3 @ 2.4ghz, 4gb, 500gb, Geoforce GT450m dedicated graphics. It cost 400€.

TBH I don't think you'll get anything for your budget so I second the advice of putting Ubuntu/Linux on your Acer and using free & open source software eg. Firefox, OpenOffice, AVG free antivirus. DO NOT USE NORTON, it is the biggest drain on a computer's resources.

  2. I voted for 'No, costs too much...' I don't think there could be that much to 'discover' on the Moon. In space exploration, it's all about Mars imo.

Also, I know I'll probably get ripped for this on here, but deep sea exploration is much closer and more important to us.

  3. Hi, in your circumstances I would also consider an 8" Dob. Do you have a balcony? I live in an appartment and keep mine on the balcony. We can take it in the car to a dark site if need be.

The Skymax 127 is a great Planetary & Lunar 'scope, but the Dob can do everything the Skymax can + more.

Look at the link below, it might help you to decide.

Also, as you live in Spain, if there is nowhere in Spain to order from, I recommend using*Teleskop-Express: Astro-Shop + Fotografie + Naturbeobachtung as postage from the UK is VERY expensive, Teleskop Express use UPS and are much cheaper for postage/delivery.

  4. Intel core i3 processor, 4gb RAM, integrated graphics, 500gb HDD, you should be able to get one for £300-£350.

As Jfox61 says, get rid of Norton or Mcafee, these are VERY RESOURCE HUNGRY and will slow down any computer. I use AVG antivirus, it's free and is also one of the best.

Also, make sure it has as many USB slots as possible.
