Equipment suggestions for live viewing

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post... and is now also my second post. I was asked to re-post to here from the "starting imaging" section - the first version has a bit more detail about the logic behind my shortlist. I thought I’d do an update on the equipment I purchased after a few weeks of ownership. The short version is: it's been great. I’ve been very happy with everything and it’s been lots of fun putting everything together and getting stuff working. The longer version is the rest of this post, which is a bit of a debrief.
