3D stars

Just bought a second hand copy of a 3D star book with those green and red glasses..

Amazon.com: 3-D Atlas of Stars and Galaxies (9781852331894): Richard Monkhouse, John Cox: Books#_

Awesome effect.

Leo looks fine with Denebola in the foreground and the meliotte cluster in the background..

A bit of study will enhance my appreciation of the sky...

I've got a copy of that book that must have been an earlier printing - same authors and title though.

It's fascinating to see how stars in a constellation relate to each other (or rather don't) spatially - it makes you realise that the shapes that we have placed on them are entirely arbitary :)

Well worth taking the time to browse the various 3-D charts and to develop your 3-D perception technique :p
