Should I try it? What advice before I do?

I was thinking, that there is not a very well lit wide open parking lot (not a garage) that seems to be unused at all times, and it provides a nearly 360 view of the night sky, and I was thinking of driving my 10" down to the lot and setting it up, I would wonder if there is any advice that anyone would have before I try it?

As you are in the USofA, I'd suggest going well armed and certainly not alone!

I would find out who the lot belongs to and check it's Ok with them. After all the fines for trespass could be (can't believe I'm going to say this) Astronomical

Seriously though, it may be worth checking and above all be safe!
