Hello all.

This was taken with the C80ED and Canon 350D

1 x 2.5 mins

21 x 3.5 mins

1 x 5 mins:)

15 Darks

All put through DSS and Gimp.

Not sure what the dark patches are on the full sized image. Something on the glass i suspect. I`ll have to look into that.

All comments and advice welcome.

A nice looking image.

I have tried this subject earlier this month with a very similar setup, but have not processed the data yet. It will be interesting to compare.

What ISO setting did you use?

I think you are right - the dark spots are porbably dust in the optical path. Light frames should get rid of them, but I am no expert in them and have not graduated that far yet.

Great image, the black dots are dust on the camera sensor, you will need to ether clean them or do 1 of the above (Lights/flats) i not sure witch one will get rid of them, i did have the same problemm, but got a friend to give it a clean and it has worked, but only do this if you know what you are doing...once again good image
