M81 & M82 in Ursa Major

M81 & M82 taken on sunday night, total of 12.5 mins at ISO 1600, Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3,unguided

My processing skills are not that good, but will try to add more data when the skies let me and the moon is not so bright.

Any comments are welcome or advice.

Sorry for the late reply, only just saw your post.

It's a good result with nice tight detail in M82, you could bring the black and mid points of the red channel down a touch with levels to kill the effects of light pollution but like you say more data is the way to go.

I look forward to seeing the image progress.

Below is a quick before and after fix in photoshop (levels only on the red and green channels)
