Last night was my first attempt at astro imaging. Did two shots of the Moon, posted in the lunar imaging section, and one of Saturn. Any tips/criticisms are welcome!!

Equipment:

SPC900NC with adapter, but no other modifications

Nexstar 8SE

Software:

SparpCap for capturing

Regstax 6 for stacking ( or at least attempting to stack...I need to read a tutorial )

Thanks everyone!

@Beamish: I attempted to use a 2X barlow, but the image was far too blurry. It was still early in the evening and just cooling down, so there was a lot of heat rise distortion ( not sure if that is the technical term )going on. Thanks for the link to the tutorial!!

Thanks for the link to your tutorial on Registax - I've just downloaded and installed it ready to start image processing and any help will be most welcome :)
