Anyone got ascompad running without EQmod ?

Hi

I am looking to just use ascompad to allow me to wirelessly control the scope via ascon while I am perched up the ladder. I thought I just needed a wireless PS3 controller, bluetooth capable laptop and ASCOMPAD. Is this correct ? I have tried it on a two Pcs now and failed to get any response from the controller.

What do I have to do ? Am I completely misunderstanding this ?

I've just bought a wireless gamepad to do this and it seems to work OK - but it's one that came with a reciever - just plugged it in, XP recognised it and in simulator mode ASCOM/EQMOD also recognised it.

Works for me with ASCOM and EQMOD.

have you made sure the ascompad is the active window on your computer when your trying to control the scope. I have made the mistake many times having to return to the screen and mouse click inside the ascompad window.
