Hello,

These are the first images i have taken of the moon taken with a small 5 mega pixel compact camera. I was quite impressed with them espesially for just hand holding to the eyepiece. I even got the lunar X in the first image which i saw on the events section at the bottom of the SGL webpage.

Any tips n' tricks for improving the images?

Edit: sorry the post title might be a bit misleading. There not the actual first images of the moon, there my first images.

Well, you encouraged me to do this little image post taken by holding my cracked screen motorola mobile to the eyepiece. :D

Equipment: Vintage Charles Frank 6" reflector with equi mount on pedestal, no mount drive. Baader Hyperion eyepiece.
