First light Saturn

Hello

Just a quick note to mention my first light experience tonight, with the new CPC 1100 from Steve at FLO. Saturn looked amazing with moons to the left, with seeing not great, using a x2 Barlow, 26mm EP and unfiltered. Truly awe-inspiring, with a hint of the Cassini Divsion, which may in fact have been my imagination at work again. Sadly a frozen over corrector plate ended play with the Kendrick dew heater system hopefully on it's way this week.

Off to bed with that ringed image burned into my head...

Cheers

Yep Saturn ya cant beat it. :saturn:

Seriously? I'm SO looking forward to seeing Jupiter, I think it'll be much more interesting. Much bigger AND much closer, meaning, I presume, a much larger image in the eyepiece, so more detail. Saturn hasn't been great in my wee refractor.
