Another widefield Flaming Star...

Recommended Posts

Last night was very clear so I set up the Astotrac and thought I would have another go at the Flaming Star Nebula but see of I could get some clusters etc into the image for added interest.

The only problem was the wind, gusts upto 20/25 miles per hour were happening on a regular basis but I thought I'd persevere and see how the Astrotrac coped.

I wasn't expecting much but was quite surprised to see only slight distortion to the stars and I didn't lose any of the 40 90sec subs that I took.

Anyway, here is the result.
