Book on CCD's?

Howdy,

As I am planning on going from DSLR to dedicated CCD's next year; before spending hundreds if not thousands**gulp!** I want to be as informed as possible on them as I know it is a huge subject on its own.

I have been reading bits and bobs on it but I would like to get a really good grip on it all.

So any recomendations for a book on the subject?

Must really be relevent to AP if possible, and also if possible not toooo hard to understand.

Not every one agrees with his style, but he does get the important concepts across. Well worth reading.

Does seem quite expensive though...perhaps I should get used to that if wanting to go down the CCD route!
