I must have had my head in the sand too to miss this gem. Every single minute was well spent in the making of this. An epic M1 that as said could grace the pages of any fine text book.

That is simply stunning! Excellent pic with rich and vibrant colours - I can get lost in those filaments.

Indeed, good old POW put me onto this. What to say? The perfect narrowband Crab nebula, full stop. Not much can shut me up that easily!! Well done Tim.

Thanks for the nice comments :D As mentioned, I was doing this sequence through a pretty rough time at work with pressure piled high on my shoulders and no income etc for a while, so although I knew the data was nice, it wasn't exactly top of the list :hello2:

Tim, Congrats on image of the week. Its such a shame we will no longer see any more spectacular images from hubble as obviously the HST has fallen from earth orbit and landed somewhere near Coventry

Not seen a pic of M1 as good as this its amazing
