Narrowband filters

I live in a light polluted nightmare. i see lots of people getting good deepsky photos in red zones using narrowband filters. Now, if I wanted to observe deepsky objects visually, what would be the best choice? I intend to get a very narrow one (therefore expensive), so Id obviously not like to take a chance. I think its between OIII and H-alpha, any thoughts?

I bought a OIII narrowband for observation and I didn't rate it. The view of the Andromeda was worse and blue. It didn't make the Orion Nebula any better so I threw it at my neighbours security light and I got more pleasure from that =)

The Andromeda galaxy is not a strong emitter of OIII, try using it on the Veil and North American Nebula under dark skies and you will be amazed.
