Modifying a Dob for astrophotogrophy?

Is it possible to modify a dob for astrophotogrophy? I've understood its not possible, but figured I'd ask anyway.

Hi,

As far as I understand a Dob isn't suitable for DSO work, but apparently can be used with a web-cam for lunar/planetary stuff.

Caveat : I'm not an imager, so it may be better if someone else could give a definitive answer.

its definately possible to do webcam work with a dob I've seen peoples images on here. But you are correct that you cannot do long exposure work on a dob base. Although it may be theoretically possible with a tracking dob and field derotator I doubt that a dobs tracking encoders and drives are up to the job.
