Another M42 from SGL6 (plus Horsehead)

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

This is my first 'real' attempt at imaging. Done over the SGL6 weekend.

My guiding let me down (again:icon_scratch:) so I could only manage about a minute per sub, so I took around 70 of each target per night. Stacked in DSS and fiddle with in GIMP.

Room to improve no doubt but I'm quite happy with the results so far.

Mark....

(Thanks to Pete (adamsp123) for the filter, made ALL the difference)

EDIT: Added another version of the HH with a bit better processing.

I love the subtle colours in M42...nicely done and with lots of detail in the core too. Having lots of data really helps doesn't it. I only managed 30min on Saturday before it was too low for me.

Lovely
