Astroboot gone for good?

Can't find any mention on Scopes'n'Skies website of the Astrotboot section. The old "Astroboot will be back soon" red box is gone as well.

So is it gone for good?

I question Scope and Skies 2 weeks back about the state of play and this was their reply.

I'm sorry but I'm am sure it will not be much longer the problem is that the gentleman who runs Astroboot has had a lot of other commitments and has not had the time

It's a shame as astroboot was really helping to restore peoples faith in scopes'n'skies, people do love a bargin!

When I asked a couple of weeks back, I got the same response as 'SniffTheGlove'.

Given that it has been off now for four months, I doubt it will return. The Christmas rush and the Stargazing Live rush have both got to be over by now.

Interesting to see that since November, I have not bought anything from SnS. Though I have spent elsewhere. Maybe Astroboot worked to get me to look at their site?

While the Astroboot "red box" and link were missing when I looked earlier in the day I see it is indeed back now.

As per previous post I haven't bought anything from SnS since before Christmas.

I admit it, i was an astroboot addict, despite being 'burnt' by scopes and skies in the past. Now i've gone cold turkey, i hope they dont bring it back, or i'll be broke again

Oh yes, once you look you buy , t'was bargains galore. Always something for someone no matter how small.

Yes - lots of useful bits and pieces mostly at less than a tenner - such as tube rings, old Plossl eyepieces, sun filters, adaptors of various kinds, discontinued Astro-Engineering products and so on...

Been consistently cloudy here so my astro library is expanding to fill the void. My bank account is turning into a bit of a black hole as it is.

It is a darned shame that it is most likely gone forever, some many odds and ends that I really want/need

They're only going to have a finite amount of odds and ends to go into their astroboot. Just have to give them some time for more to accumulate
