Polarscope fitting

Just received my polarscope from FLO, ordered dual axis motors for my mount but sadly on backorder. However I tried to fit the polarscope but I cannot get it into the sleeve. I don't want to force it too much but i have used a fait bit, without success. Also, if it ever does fit, should the aluminium degree thing really stick out from the mount?

I have the exact same kit as you. All I did was to unscrew the existing housing (dial and all) and screw in the polar scope with its new dial.

Job done, not at all obvious as it looks like the three grub screws were for holding the polarscope in. there is an O ring inside the part I removed which was preventing the scope sliding in.

That other post was me.

Remove the old fitting, used the silver alignment screws as leverage allowed me to avoid using tools. The new scope then screws in instead.

I trawled the net for a solution before asking the question, I was sure it was the wrong scope at first.

Sorry to say I probably got the last dual axis drive from FLO, it came on Wednesday with my new scope and the polar axis scope.

Have fun aligning the polar scope - a job I have planned for the weekend.
