Primer- An aid to lunar observing

Recommended Posts

OK so its well known to most but maybe someone just starting out might find it usefull.

I came across this on the internet.

Its a list of observing targets on the moon from 1 to 100 (1 being easiest to 100 hardest)

I found it very handy in first finding my way around the moon and it concentrates the mind and

trains the eye to observe.

Here's a couple of links

First, a map showing where the targets are in PDF format

http://www.spacegazer.com/Documents\Astronomy%20Projects\Lunar_100_map.pdf

And second, a sheet naming the targets with tick boxes as you work your way through it also PDF format

http://www.spacegazer.com/Documents\Astronomy%20Projects\Lunar_100_sheets.pdf

Worth printing out to take outside with you at the scope.

Great fun and worth a go
