Exiled Geordie in Scotland

Hello, I have been on here a while but realised I hadn't posted in here. Im originally from Newcastle but now live 15 miles south of Inverness, the sky is reasonably dark with the milky way clearly visible on a good night. I guess I have been inspired to come back to astronomy by 'Wonders' but I vividly remember being transfixed by Cosmos presented by Carl Sagan.

Hi Tony and welcome to the forum.

I was looking at a couple of Carl Sagan's programmes on Utube the other night and we forget sometimes the impact that his series had and how many people it must have inspired to look upwards.

Clear skies
