Success with M51

Well as it was really clear last night I thought I would have a go at M51. Never actually viewed it before so had a quick look and the got Imaging. New to all this and apart from a few of M42 and a failed Flame Neb I havn't done much else. So I was really suprised with the result!

90s Subs, Total 1hr 30mins on unguided mount. 10 Darks and 10 Bias.

I am really happy with end result, stacked in DSS and finished in PS.

File unprocessed is HERE if anyone wants to have a play and make better!

2nd is after a bit better processing? I hope :D

CW, Very nice, lovely colours. How did you bring out so well without getting too much noise? Curves and Levels or any other little tricks?

Cheers

Just isolate the area you want with the magic wand tool and then use the sponge tool to increase saturation plus a bit of blurring if require.

HTH.
