Great capture Luke, the animation is great and proves beyond all doubt what you have imaged. Just goes to show what can be captured sucessfully with amateur equipment and how amateur astronomers input and data is so important to an ongoing scientific understanding of not only the Universe, but the Solar System also.

When they were first started looking for these kind of objects, they apparently didn't appear in the automatic selection because the 'moving object' code had a lower limit on what it thought was moving -- and these kuiper-belt objects were too slow for it. Had to do another pass looking for even slower objects before they appeared...
