What did I see?

I was out tonight with my 15x70's, a remarkably clear night in Scotland it was too! Somewhere between Gemini and the top of Auriga lie two fuzzy objects horizontally aligned. I thought these were clouds at first, but they remained stationary, so I'm assuming these were more likely clusters, I could sort of see some clustering going on in the left one. The one on the right looked slightly bigger and fluffier than the one on the left.

Anyone have any ideas which clusters they could have been?

Looking at Slellarium could be M36 and M38 open clusters.

Although M37 and M35 open clusters are in that region too.

I would punt at M36 and M38 as two faint fuzzy clusters horizontal but in the mid left of Auriga.

Check out free download of stellarium, google it if you don't have it.
