Half Moon shots from this morning

Got up at 3 am and had a wicked nights viewing (See my Saturn pic in the planetary thread, it'll blow ya socks off) Took these pics with my trusty method of holding camera up to eyepiece and going click!

Any advice on improving the image would be appreciated. I had a play around with sharpen,brightness and contrast but am a total novice at picture enhancement.

Hi Spud,

Here ya go matey, i lowered the Levels in Photoshop, appylied a little unsharp mask(filter) and changed it to Black n White. Thats it matey really easy to do and the images are excellent Spud!

Great photos.

Good to know that you use the tried and tested 'point & click'

Last night was fantastically clear once the front had moved through and the seeing was good as well!! :)

A rare night here in the UK.
