Draw tube on 200P skywatcher

Hi guys

So was looking the other day into depths of my scope and seen that the Draw tube is shiny silver so it got me wondering should i paint it all black inside and outside ? would it make pictures and viewing better ?

You could paint the shiny parts matt black. But wether you will notice a

difference is up for debate, theoretical difference maybe, if the draw tube

extends into the light path when in focus.

If you do decide to paint, I think that I would avoid the areas of contact,

(I can just see one of the Crayford rollers in your pic) as the paint will likely

flake off in those places.

yeh it extends about 5cm into light path i think
